Staff at Going Places were very helpful when booking my wedding
Never trust Going Places / Airtours with your wedding if you want it to be the most oraganised and happiest day of your lives.
Booked my wedding 18 months previous with Going Places to Mexico and 17 of my friends and family came too. My Aunt and Uncle booked their wedding too, but on separate days. On about 6 occasions we checked with the wedding department the dates we had requested. When we got to the hotel we saw no wedding planner for about 3 days until we chased her, the rep was no help to what should have been one of the best days of our lives. When we did see the wedding planner she said she had us both for the same day wedding. All the begging and upset would not change this even though we had confirmed with Airtours many times. My wedding was at 10am and the other couple later on. I had to get out of my wedding dress to go to another wedding. The day was not ours. We were also meant to have received a decorated wedding cart, decorated arch, free room up-grade, basket of fruit and flowers and a decorated room. We received nothing. The total cost of the booking was over 20k. On return, Airtours were really un-interested. We paid £669 for a wedding package of which 75% of the service paid for we did not receive. They offered us £240 compensation, but after many phone calls and letters we got the wedding package money refunded. No amount of money can make up for ruining what should have been the happiest day of our lives
