Fantastic sound (deep, rich bass and full, clear top end) enhanced by choice of G EQ settings.
Solid build quality.
Very easy to use.
Packed with features.
Able to record direct from cds.
Good accessories.
Long battery life.
Supplied earphones are very good (Sennheiser) but not overly comfortable. I would have preferred clip on phones. This is being picky, I know.
I was lucky to get my iRiver IFP 795 for £85 in the New and Used section of Amazon (unwanted present). It is absolutely ideal for what I wanted, which was something small enough to wear around my neck when jogging, with enough capacity to hold plenty of songs to keep me going on the odd long train journey or flight. The FM radio was an added bonus that will come in useful at times. A big plus is the battery life - I have used mine a lot so far and there is still a full complement of bars on the meter and it will allegedly run for up to 40 hours on one AA battery. In summary this is an excellent and versatile player. It has already become my close friend and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
