General Comments

I waited for The Sims 2 for ages. When I finally got it, I wasn't disappointed. I was totally addicted to the first Sims and all their expansion packs.

The game is now 3D and is really addictive. There is loads more choice when it comes to clothes and designing your home. I was a little let down by the wallpapers and floors for the homes but wasn't too bothered when I discovered that the homes were nicely decorated anyway and it was too difficult to redecorate a house anyway. People may disagree with this but I just don't find it as easy as it was in the original sims.

The new feature I really like is the way the sims now have life stages. I love them as babies, when you have to feed them and put them to sleep in their cots and as toddlers where you have to teach them to talk and walk. Its also cool when they are teenagers as they get an option to sneak out with their friends.

I know a lot of people with this game have had problems with their computers crashing. The specs on the back of the game box are only the minimum for the game and you do need quite a powerful computer to run this game.

The create a sim option is another great feature of the game. You can pick the make up of the sims and choose whether they wear glasses or have beards. If you want to you can change their make up by using the 'change appearance' which becomes aviable if you have a mirror in your home.

You can still go 'downtown' like you could in 'Hot Date' which was one of the expansion packs from The Sims. You can buy clothes for yourself or anybody else living in your household. You can also buy magazines and grocerys. You can also order grocerys over the phone or online. You have to do this when your fridge becomes low on food or empty.

When you buy a computer now there is lots more options. You can chat to friends online and email friends who are not online. You can order groceries, look for jobs or your own house.

I would definitely recommend this game, not only to people who have played the first games, but to newcomers to the series as well.
