Good Points

Efficient when working - brings carpets up like new after several sessions.

Unreliable.


General Comments

Like a previous reviewer I found that the plastic on this Dyson DC04 De Stijl had become so brittle after about four years use that changing a clutch to motor belt (which are supposed to never break!) became a nightmare job. The thing is not designed to be taken apart and put back together again but there is no other way that you can get the clutch belts on. I ended up with so many bits of plastic that had come away that it wouldn't function properly any more, even with the new belt fitted. At the price you pay it should be better made. Will never buy one again. Replaced it with a £50 cyclonic VAX which is just as efficient at getting the dirt up.
