Speed, buffer underrun protection, ability to write in RAW mode
Noisy eject mechanism.
After using a Yamaha 16x10x32, this Lite-On LTR 40125S has opened my eyes to the "budget" end of CD burning. This thing is wickedly fast with precise burning (not produced a single coaster in 100s of uses). RAW mode allows you to copy/burn CD images with confidence. Also I find the flat-faced unit quite attractive in a minimalist kind of way. The downside is an eject mechanism that reminds me of my old Creative 24x CDROM... loud. I now want the awesome 52x24x52 ;)
