Bought brand new DVD player from local retailed store. Had no more than 20 DVD disc going through the machine. The laser went out at month 11. The warranty is no longer applicable. My previous DVD player was also Panasonic but it was a high end product. It lasted a bit longer than this one, about 2 years. Same problem: laser went out. My friend's Samsung DVD player priced at $89.00 USD last is half price of this Panasonice DVD and yet it is running strong after 2 years.
