General Comments
The Schwinn S350 is my second electric scooter. My first was a chinatown piece of junk. This one is made for Schwinn by Currietech, here in California. I got it for 200 bucks at a Pep Boys auto store about 8 months ago. Since then I've definitely put over 100 miles on it. I use it for running errands, cruising down to the beach and when I can, I take it to work. I've even thrown the occasional date on the back of it, and man the ladies love my little scooter! I weigh 155 and I date small women, so I wouldn't put much more than 10 lbs over the claimed 280 lb maximum. The box claims 12 or 15 MPH and a range of 8 miles, or 45 minutes of wide-open throttle. By using power judiciously, I frequently go 5 or more miles before I get home. Honestly I wish the battery held another 50% of charge so I wouldn't have to constantly have to think about how much juice is left. Perhaps a battery life indicator is really what I'm asking for? This thing is so much fun! It goes as fast as I would want to on those little tires. There are faster and better appointed scooters on the market, but this one has a simplicity of design and a solidness that's unmatched. I would recommend this scooter for adults. There are slower weaker ones on the market for kids.
