If you want a flashy show go buy nikes, but if you you want a really good feeling skate shoe and a super durable skate shoe go savier.
I have been skateboarding for a little over four years now. I have had every type of shoe there is and just recently I decided to try out the Brian Anderson savier skate shoe model. The only reason I gave this brand a try was because the best local skater (he's pro-am skates for pig and a few local shops) in my town (Charleston Sc) wears nothing but savier. I have never had any savier shoe's previous to these ones, but these shoe's are gods. They are so tough and comfortable, nothing to teck. I hate teck and not that bad looking they have a nice simple classic look. I dont know how to explain quite how much I like these shoes, but from now on I will never get another brand of shoes except savier. Thats how much I like them.
If you want a superior skate shoe try savier see for your self just how great a shoe can be.
