Good Points

Great design stock is short enough for people with short arms and enough power to take down any thing it hits at 345 fps and 122 LB thrust with a 15.5" powerstroke. It is in my opinion the best X-bow for the buck.

Bad Points

150lb draw lot of resistance but there are cocking assistance devices for it ranging from $20 - $135 * Barnett should include the rope cocking device with purchase or at least a coupon to get one discounted or free.

General Comments

The Barnett Quad 400 Crossbow is a great design! Stock is short enough for people with short arms and has enough power to take down any wildlife it hits at 345 fps and 122 LB thrust with a 15.5" powerstroke. Be sure to get a proper practice target to stop the bolt my first shot into a 14" thick archery target went thru the target and stopped on the exit side of a heavy plastic trashcan full of sand that was behind it at 20 yards.

Trigger and safety on the Quad 400 sucks! The safety is very hard to move and the string is to big to fit into the trigger/safety slot. Put a smaller string into the slot and it snaps in easily, but the string on the bow is very difficult to make the safety trip into the lock position. If you forget to take the safety off and pull the trigger, of course it doesn't fire but you can't push the safety off after that unless you pull back on the string with enough pressure to activate the safety. The scope that came with the bow could not be adjusted enough to keep from shooting two feet over the target at 25 yards. I had to take the scope mount off and put a washer under the front just so I could adjust it enough to hit the target.
