Extremely drinkable Light Relatively low alcohol Never a hangover Cheap
Can be sour in low volume stores. Otherwise none.
Gallo Carlo Rossi has to be the most popular jug wine in California. It can be found in drug stores and supermarkets, oddly liquor stores less so, they don't move enough volume and tend to have sour-outdated bottles. Also liquor stores tend to have smaller bottles (1.5 litre) at higher prices per volume.
Carlo Rossi comes in a range of flavors, but "Blush" is the best. I don't say this only because it is my personal favorite, but I also see that the Blush section always runs out first.
It sells for US $5.99 to $9.99 per 4 litre bottle. The larger markets like Safeway are usually $9.99. Longs Drug Stores sell it every day for $6.99 and often put it on sale for $5.99.
It seems to be lightly carbonated--not something that I taste as I drink it but I hear the sound of the pressure when I remove the cap.
