Golden sun has very good color variety, especially for the GBA games I've seen. The interface is very easy to use, plus you quickly get a feel for the game , making it extremely addictive. Golden Sun also has one of the best storylines I've ever seen. Plus their are incredible options. There are a vast variety of attacks, djinn, items, etc. throughout the game. Lastly, Sound is good, but not great. Although anything better is hard to get from GBA. The GBA lacks the sound system necessary for better quality sound, so this is not a shortcoming of Golden Sun.
Only negative aspect of the game is the relatively short amount of game play: Rushing through is about 15-20 hrs. Replay value is still there. Plus a sequel is coming out soon.
Everyone that I've talked to that has played this game has loved it. If you're looking for a game to be hooked on this Christmas, you found it. It's the best RPG out right now besides the Zelda 4 swords. Definitely worth your money. Also, a lot of RPG's nowadays have weak storylines. Golden Sun outdid itself with the excellent story. A true RPG gamer's paradise.
