ALS5's Review of Abbey Child Trust Fund

Overall Rating
- Value for money

Lots of information in the branch
Friendly, helpful staff who knew all about the account.
General Comments
I had read a lot about the new Abbey Child Trust Fund account and just received my voucher in the post on the same day that I received a letter from Abbey about their new CTF account. I don't usually bank with Abbey but thought that as their account offered 2 versions and was presented in a very user-friendly way I would talk to the staff and see if I could find out more.
I was able to open the account on the day I visited the branch, was given lots of information about which option was best for my son and also given some information to take away so I could read about how much I was allowed to save each year (£1,200) and how I could get friends and family to add to his savings.
Overall I was very impressed with the service from the Abbey staff and would recommend them to anyone. They also had information about accounts for my daughter who can't have a CTF as she is too old.

I managed to find performance on the following funds.
f&c, CIS co-op, and a few others I have lost their names. You need to look closely the small print tells you where they invest the money then go to Morning star or another financial web site to see their rating and performance.Everona on 5th Oct 2009
