HUGE selection of games.

Graphics. Quality of most games. Defects.

Back in February of 2004, my friends talked me into buying a Sony PS2. I had played their's for years, and always have thought about it, but never did. Finally I broke down and bought one. For the first month of owning it, I played it non-stop. There were SO many games to try out! Well, after that month, I stopped playing it. I went back to my GameCube (which I tend to do all the time) and didn't touch my PS2 for months. People, I don't understand what the big hype is over the PS2. Granted, it does have an un-godly amount of games to choose from, but I only found a select few that were good enough to keep. And the graphics...whew. The GameCube and Xbox blow the PS2 out of the water when it comes to that.

And one more stiff I have with the PS2, There are so many problems with it! I work at a game store, and I get at least 1-2 calls A DAY saying that their PS2 broke down. And not just the 1st model PS2's, no, no...even a lot of the brand new ones would break down. Customers tell me every day, "Yeah, this is my 2nd PS2...no, wait, my 3rd PS2, and I am done with it." No system should ever break down as often as a PS2. And that is why I love Nintendo. They give me a good durable system, and a number of good games to go along with it.

  Ok you "broke down" [cried] over the PS2 and that it had SO many games then decide that you don't like for no reason!? You said you had played your friends PS2 for "years" and later say that you have customers call you saying that their PS2 broke brand new. BULL!!! Just to let you know Samus I have a 4 year old in great condition and working perfectly PS2 in my house!!!! What are you against all game companies except Nintendo? I think you're full of it Samus.

  Dude, quit being a jerk. And I am NOT full of it. I work at a game store, and I get calls and complaints every shift AT LEAST saying their PS2 broke down or won't do this or won't do that. Just beacuse yours works fine does not mean that all the rest do too. You need to get your facts straight before you start insulting me.

  Ahh dude alright but I've never seen a ps2 break down except when my friend was moving his and he dropped it... but I can't argue with you if you work at a gamestore and people call you so alright, I am sorry about that.

  LOL. Yeah, speaking of which...I just had a VERY busy night. We had trade-ins up the butt tonight. By the way, thanks for stickin' up for me on my reviews. GiantElectric really does search for my reviews and then mocks me. It is getting annoying. Doesn't he have anything better to do?

  lol he probally doesn't. ahh man, I've been in my local game store [eb games] and yeh I know what you're talking about. I was going to trade in one of my old sega games and I swear if every person in town chose the same day to go to eb games......

  That is the way it goes at a game store. They all come at the same time. It is annoying, but usually there is down time. Whatever, that's retail for you.

  Stephen, you are dumb. You just played my PS2 with me yesterday and you bad-mouth Xbox all the time at work. You say you agree with me about Xbox being the one with problems and that Sony at least knows its butt from a hole in the ground. Stop flip-flopping every month about things.

  That review was a long time ago, and I have changed my views. But I stand by what I say about the defects.
