General Comments
Baikal IZH-46M:
I used to compete in 10m compressed air long time ago, before the invasion of the CO2 pistols. I used at that time a very expensive FAS Domino (Italian).
The IZH is DEFINITELY superior. Right out of the box it has been virtually impossible to send a pellet outside of the black area of an Olympic P10 target. I've shot so far 500 pellets or so, mainly to get used to the weight (not easy) and to break in the barrel. I haven't started counting the score and until today I haven't adjusted anything.
I have a large palm and short fingers (usually a problem with airguns) so today I took apart the trigger because I wanted to build a custom one that would get closer to my fingertip. Surprise surprise... The trigger is mounted on a rail and its position is fully adjustable. Problem solved, now the fingertip is in a perfect position and the trigger feels even crispier...
I gave 33 "Up" clicks so that now I can aim below the black area and I am thinking about building a custom grip with resin or wood. It's a real problem that extra grips cannot be bought easily.
But if you are serious, this is not a main problem. Spare seals are kind of expensive ($15) and I couldn't find any info on how long they last.
Overall a VERY POSITIVE review. I look forward to the release of the PCP pistol currently in preproduction at Baikal...
