Starts well.
Design fault? Clogging.
I paid over £650 for my Hayter Harrier pro four seasons ago and I've regretted it ever since. If there's any more than seven days growth you are in real trouble, if I was in the buisness of grass cutting, I would have gone bankrupt after the first season. Unless it is perfect cutting conditions this machine constantly cloggs up and will not fill the bag unless I use my hands to push it to the back of the bag. I'm sure there is a design fault, the bag leans downhill therefore the grass falls back towards the shute. I also think they have got the height settings wrong. If you set it to the lowest it is grounded if you set it to the second it scalps the bumps, I use number 3 but of course you are back to the seven day cut syndrome because the grass was not cut short enough in the first place. I took the machine back to the supplier he said there was nothing he could do I asked if the revs were high enough I'm told you can't adjust them anyway. I contacted Hayter they insult me by suggesting the blade may be blunt, as if that would not be the first thing I'd check. If you intend to cut the grass before midday forget it the slightest bit of dew and your in trouble. Am I a loner or have others had this problem? Please give me some feedback good or bad, I think I may try the Harrier56 any advice.
