General Comments

I approached yes car credit in the middle of last year as I was desperate to get a car, however I was nervous about approaching the car dealerships for a new car as my credit scoring had in the past been quite low. So in a nutshell I was nervous of being refused and knew that yes car credit wouldn't turn me away.

I filled out the form on the internet and within 24 hours they eagerly contacted me and made an appointment for me to go into one of their stores. However, when the time came for some reason I got cold feet and cancelled the appointment.

They called continuously for the next few months, trying to get another appointment. I eventually booked another appointment but the day before the appointment someone warned me and told me not to use their services. From their own experience with Yes Car Credit, they deemed it a "a scam to get as much money out of you as possible". They had gone to the dealership and straight away were wanted to sign documents before they had even chosen the car (apparently they got quite flustered when he told them that he wanted to choose his car first then sign, and didn't seem to want to answer any questions that were asked.

I quickly phoned and cancelled once again. Five minutes after I put down the phone, I got another call from them. The guy who spoke to me was very rude and told me "You do know that we've already applied for the finance and that if you cancel, it will mean that you'll never be able to get finance on a car ever again?". I told him "OK". The call ended.

The thing is, it turns out my credit wasn't so bad after all...I'm now driving a new vehicle. So much for never being able to get finance on a car eh! Yes Car Credit must have known my credit was perfectly fine.

The absolute cheek of it is, a few months after I got my car Yes Car Credit called and pretended that I had made an appointment, and were supposedly phoning to check if I had all the documents needed for the meeting. How low.

I know someone who went with yes car credit, their car recently got towed away for the non payment of a parking ticket. The enforcement company had no right to take the car as it's illegal to seize goods that are under a hire purchase agreement. Instead of Yes Car Credit trying to do something about it they're jumping on the bandwagon and trying to make a killing out of it. They're now saying that to get the car back, there's going to be legal fees, then it will be treated as repossession as they had to get their car back - more fees. On top of that early settlement fees etc etc. The bottom line is, by the time they've finished, the registered keeper will have to pay all the costs which amount to approximately £9,000.

So don't do it!!!
