Several nice new bells and whistles.
If you don't save a new record before creating a new record, you lose the information and all associated notes. EXTREMELY SLOW. Locks up frequently. Needs to load it's own version of SQL and can't use your existing version so you end up with two of them. After you perform an update, each individual workstation needs to be updated before that user can use the product so if you have less-than-experienced users, plan on going workstation-to-workstation to install updates before the users can use the product.
I've been a loyal and satisfied user of ACT Schedule & Contact Management Software for at least 10 years. This version, ACT 2005 Premium is by far one of the worst software purchases I ever made. It is incredibly slow, locks up frequently and is difficult to manage in a network environment. When using ACT templates to merge fields into Word documents, it locks up if you try to save or print your file. I am embarrassed to have recommended this product as a solution in my company.
