I bought this H&B DRX-430Dvd recorder from Digital Point (www.digitalpoint.co.uk) after doing a lot of homework and found it was the recorder for me. Having searched high and low I decided to buy from digital point as no one else had the product in stock, even though it was a little bit more expensive than other competitors.
I received the recorder/player and noticed that they had supplied me with a Foreign power adaptor not a UK version (I was a little disappointed).
After also looking at several online websites including Amazon, this H&B DRX-430 Recorder is actually the ELLION 530S Recorder under the H&B badge which is available from Amazon.co.uk for £160 including delivery. I also noticed other sites that had done the H&B DRX-430 for £160.
I contacted Digital-Point right away as soon as the recorder been delivered explaining the problems: 1, That the recorder was cheaper from a competitor and 2, That the lead was foreign.
After various emails Digital Point asked me to call their sales department regarding my refund, and the foreign plug, I contacted them and I must admit they weren't very helpful. They would not refund me any difference in price on the DVD recorder even though on their website they do say that "LOWEST PRICES GUARANTEED" and they said they could send a UK plug out.
I then emailed them again explaining that the product was brand new and within 7 Days. I got several emails back saying to contact the sales department again and that they couldn't authorise a refund because they didn't have the authority (no names were left at the bottom of the email on all the occasions they emailed me).
The problem is still in dispute and I'm trying to get something resolved with digital point,... I can confirm that the Ellion 530s firmware works with the H&B Recorder so it is the same product.
Very dis-satisfied with the service I have received from Digital Point, I will post positive relpy if they resolve my issue.
