General Comments

After ~ 500 cycles, the baskets on the Smeg DW167.1 are starting to deteriorate with bits falling off all over the place.
I wrote to Smeg including photographs and their Correspondence Manager replied using phrases like "excellent product", "you have been unfortunate", "outside our customer service parameters", "unable to assist you with the cost of repair" and "very much regret that this situation has undermined your confidence in the Smeg brand", in her reply and referred me to their repair centre (an 0870 number).
I am deeply unimpressed and wouldn't reccommend Smeg to any friend that I wanted to keep.........
