Good Points

Good power for a pistol, accurate

Bad Points

Some pellets are harder to get chambered

General Comments

Had the older model Crosman 1377c and upgraded to the C model that gives a better bolt system and a rifled barrel. Chrony results are as follows:
All results using 8 pumps.
Beeman PT coated 7.5gr 463.1fps 3.57fpe
Beeman HP coated 7.5gr 497.7fps 4.13fpe
Crossman Wadcut 7.9gr 478.9fps 4.02fpe
Gamo Hunter domed 8.3gr 491.1fps 4.45fpe
Gamo pointed 8.5gr 484.9fps 4.44fpe
Gamo round 8.2gr 468.4fps 4.00fpe

Accuracy with the different pellets showed the Gamo rounds being the worst and all others being more or less equal so this gun isnt pellet fussy. A fun pistol for short range pest control or plinking.

Got a rabbit with mine today, its been modded and has a new breech and scope. 15pumps, with an rws superpoint pellet. 18 yards, hit it right behind the eye.

How long have you been doing 15 pumps with it? I found while doing another chrony test that anything beyond 8 pumps don’t give a whole heck of a lot more velocity. In any case, good shot...with the proper range and shot placement, this thing can definitely down a rabbit. What was involved in your breech mod? I've seen an adjustable trigger mod from www.charliedatuna.com but not a breech mod yet.

I’ve modded the valve (taken 1/18" off the check valve, the small plastic cylinder inside the valve+put in a lighter spring to allow more air on each pump) to allow more air in, but by doing that it decreased the amount of pressure in the valve which it previously had at 10pumps, so now I have to pump it 15times to get it back up to the same pressure but it has a bit more air behind the pellet. When I fire now it’s a bit louder but power has definitely increased. So the pressure on the seals are the same, I've had it a year and been doing that, not had to change any parts, but I do have a spare pump cup just in case. I’ve bought an aftermarket breech from crookedbarn.com , allows me to mount a scope and seals air better. I’ve also taken out the metal transfer port between the breech and pump tube and made a vinyl tubing one so all the air is delivered to the pellet, whereas before air is lost through the stock breech and port. Also done a bit of work to the trigger to make it lighter. If you’re interested in modding your gun and getting it to do 610fps like mine, go on the crosman forum, type into a google search, and ask them there, or search for the mods using the forum search, loads of info there. Hope this helps.

Man that is awesome... I'll check that out. I like the idea of scoping it. As of now, I tried a scope mount, but it wasnt too secure. I'll check out the groups...hadnt even given thought to modding this little gun.
