General Comments
Like the Windows Task Manager, A&M Neuber GbR's Security Task Manager 1.6 shows what tasks are running. It lists stealth tasks that can't be seen in Task Manager and provides detailed information about each task including a risk rating and list of hidden functions. And it will warn when any program attempts to install itself for automatic launching at Windows startup. The SpyProtector add-on helps the user delete Web-surfing and recent-file traces and disables keyloggers and other surveillance software.

What Security Task Manager does is that it lists all processes, and I mean really all, parents and children alike, their paths, and their publishers, and throws in a risk evaluation for good measure. You can also connect to a kind of forum where people may have stated their experiences with, and opinion of the specific process you're investigating (for what it's worth - there's both IT sages and computer ignorants like myself). Very handy with Trojans like "svchost.exe", which no anti-malware software will detect, since in the right folder and published by MS it's really a legitimate and necessary Windows process. Maybe the price is a few dollars too high. Although it is definitely cheaper than WinTask Pro.
