General Comments

Purchased the Sony DW-D22A in February 2005, this drive has never worked. Searching Sony's site for a DW-D22A model of drive returns no results. Apparently Sony will not admit to making it. I have also found similar symptoms on hardware help sites, no fixes were noted there either. It's either a case of high failure rate or the retailer knows they're faulty and are attempting to dump their stock.

Avoid this drive!

    Hi i have had my dw-d22a for about 1 year now and have found no problems with it. It writes dvd and cds with great speed and great quality. I had one glitch with buffer under-run but i found out "power Burn" in nero sorted this problem and is the equivalent of buffer underrun protection on other drives out
