Good Points
Nice design and simple controls.

Bad Points
Poor reception and persistent crackling even on standby.

General Comments
This Ferguson FRG-120D radio looks cute and the auto tune function works quickly and efficiently.



However, the reception is not usually great (and I have now tried it in two areas in or close to London) and it is downright bad at times, even in FM mode. Most annoying of all is the persistent crackle even when the radio is on standby. I cannot understand how this could have been allowed to get into the final design as the only solution is to unplug the damn thing which somewhat defeats the point of having a standby mode at all!



Generally, I wouldn't recommend this radio. I plan to change mine as soon as possible.
