Good Points

Decent price. Crosman product. Eight shot rotary clip. Respectable fps. Pretty efficient too.

Bad Points

Not a big fan of plastic (which this gun is made completely of).

General Comments

Well, I started to write this review right after returning my 1008 to Crosman for replacement - after one week! The loading mechanism jammed & wouldn't let me load a clip (there wasn't a clip loaded when it jammed). I was going to say that I hated it & you shouldn't buy one...

It's been gone a week or so & you know what? I miss it! I realized that, other than it jamming on me & having to replace it, it really is a pretty cool pistol. It's fps is right up there with Co2 pistols four times it's price - and it's pretty accurate. I'm not sure that I could hit a pigeon on the first shot, but I sure could give it hell when I empty that clip!!!

Really, it's pretty accurate for a pistol. I get about 32 shot (4 clips) out of a powerlet, although the last few shots are questionable. Never tried it with a red dot sight, but I hear it's a pretty good match.

Anyhow, if you're thinking about a Crosman 1008B, go for it. You can spend a lot more on something that's subpar, but why? This gun is up there with my Gamo PT80, which I love. Buy this pistol & thank me later.

I totally disagree with this man. How can he think that something this cheap could be worth it. Not even emptying the whole clip on the pigeon would even tickle it .You shouldnt buy this cheap thing. Buy a good one a one that has a real value not this cheapster. Buy a gamo or a Beretta perhaps a Smith and Wesson.

if anybody out there likes the accuracy and power (perhaps) on the 1008. but do not approve of the fact that it is all co-polymer and maybe its horrible bolt safety may i recomend the crosman c-40? it has an all metal frame(zinc alloy) with the exception of the grip of course, and it has the safety mechanism similar to the umarex beretta and the cp88. not to much more expensive than a 1008 and of much higher quality. i myself have to aggree with the reviewer above me as im not such a big fan of th 1008. happy shooting!
