Good Points

This is a smart sexy little machine that holds its own with more expensive sports cars on the road today. Good boot capacity. Good on petrol.

Bad Points

When they first came out there were no end of problems with the folding roof, but I have not had a problem with mine except for a persistent squeek which peugeot are unable to rectify. I did have to have new brake pads as there was a problem with them whereby my breaks continually squeaked, my breakpads weren't worn, apparently it was a design fault. I also agree with one of the other reviewers who said that peugeot are not interested, their after sales service is rubbish. 6 months ago my glove compartment lock broke, car was still under warranty, I waited ages for them to get me a new one by which time car was out of warranty, but they said they would still not charge me. Part arrived it was wrong, again they reordered and again it came in wrong. I am still waiting for said part. Also it has back seats but these are really only bucket seats and not very good for carrying passengers.

General Comments

I love my Peugeot 206 1.6 Coupe Cabriolet, it drives well it looks smart and sexy, and it suits my personality. I love the fact that I have the security of a hardtop in the winter and a convertible in the summer. It takes 20 secs for the roof to go down and back up which is great. It has alloys, abs, cd and at well under £15k is good value for money when you compare to other similar cars. Yes after sales is not good and there have been problems with this model. However, all in all i've not had too much wrong with mine and have had it for 2 years 6 months and I still love it. However, not sure if I would buy another one only due to the fact that Peugeot are neither helpful or good at rectifying faults.

Your experience/concerns with Peugeot match mine. Superb designs, but the backup and willingess/ability to fix problems is a serious issue. My last Pug (a 306) had a silly, but persistent fault which took SEVENTEEN dealer visits to rectify.
Nice review though - gives a good overall view of ownership.

I Love my Peugot 206 2.0 Coupe Cabriolet but can't understand why I needed a new exhaust after 1 year! Then Peugeot fitted the wrong one, but they did give me a free service worth £99 and a tank of petrol. My roof has jammed once and I had to have new air vents in the middle console as they broke in the first month. It rattles a lot with the roof up and I have had to take it back to Peugeot 3 times before they managed to fix the drivers door as it wasnt closing properly, now after two years of owning it Peugeot tell me that my alternator belt is fraying and my discs on the brakes have corroded and they recommend the Air con to be re-gased every two years. Totaling up to over £300...mmm.... but all in all when I have the roof down it still gives me that buzz of feeling like a sexy chick! I'd buy another convertible but not sure I'd by a Peugeot.
