General Comments

Design & Look
The Samsung D410 has dimensions of 99mm x 40mm x 24mm and weight of 115g and it makes it one of the biggest mobile phones in its class. But, it has an attractive design which gives him a macho look. Bad point is external antenna which can be frustrating if you hold it in your pocket.

Display
Display is the best thing on this mobile. It is big and bright high quality TFT with 262 000 colours. You can only have problems on the sunlight but this is the bad point of all colour mobile phones.

Software
Software is similar to Samsung, very simple and easy to use. Bad point is this that software on Samsung D410 is little slower than other Samsung models. But it is very attractive, beautiful and animated, of course:-) It can be sometimes unstable, so don't be frustrated when restarts itself with no reason. I have it for 2 months and it happens only once and I think this is not big problem.

Call Quality
You can change the volume when you talk to somebody, but I think this is not enough. If you are in crowd, you'll have problems to hear person you are talking to. So if you are businessman and you spend long time in loud places I don't recommend this phone. But quality of calls is really good and you'll not have problem with signals, wherever you are.

Messaging
You will not have problems with T9 when you write messages. It was really frustrated on E700 when you had to change T9 every time when you wrote messages. D410 does not have this problem. If you write message for first time on Samsung, you may have problems, because it can be pretty complicated. Dot is on 1 and coma is on 0. I don't know why? No need!

Ringtones
64-polyphonic ringtones can satisfy everybody's preferences. Sounds are loud and clear and you will hear your phone when you get message or when somebody calls you. Melodies which you get with this phone are standard as in all new Samsung mobile phones.

Camera
Integrated camera has 4 resolutions: Mobile(176x160), QQVGA(168x120), QVGA(320x240) and VGA(640x480). There are 4 levels of quality : Economic, Normal, Fine and Super fine. For better fun there are also effects like emboss, sepia, negative and so on. Pictures are good quality, but bad point is that you can't zoom photos when you look them in Photo Gallery. Pictures are maybe worse at the night light because D410 does not have flash or night mode. Videos are also good, better than other mobile phones.

Memory
D410 has memory of 8Mb. 3Mb is for photos, 3Mb for videos (not enough, because one 25sec. video is 1Mb big) and about 2Mb for MMS & mail. Phonebook has 1000/5 entries which is too much.

Battery
D410 has 900Li-Ion battery which lasts about 3-4 days. This is pretty good if we know that this handy has really big display which "eats" battery. But in package are two batteries so if you go on long trip and you won't be able to charge your phone, you can take them both, and you will no need charger for about 6-7 days.

Connectivity
D410 has IrDa so you can synchronize your phone with PC and this is it. It is really disappointing that you can't synchronize any Samsung (D410 also) with any other phones. This problem is solved only with Samsung D500. There are other ways to connect this phone to the PC, like USB or data cable. Also, you'll need PC software, and this is EasyGPRS 2.1.8. which you can download from Samsung web site. Oh no, there is no Bluetooth (plus for D500)!

All in all, I think this is really good phone with lot of features, cool design and some small problems with no bigger meaning. I would recommend it!
