Powerful
Extemely hard to push
Bought the Bosch Cyclone Jet BUC11700UC two days ago and now have an aching right arm due to the suction on deep pile "Wilton" carpets. Ordinary carpets are OK to push on and turning on the brushes certainly helps. Believe me I am no wimp as I am a 34 year old lumberjack and I would not recommend it for older people or people with bad backs, my wife uses two hands to push it.
As for hairs we have a new sheepskin rug which constantly sheds hairs onto the "wilton" and it just will not pick these up due to the fact that it clags itself to the carpet and sucks from underneath. If it could have let some air in through the front it would have been easier to push and would have probably drawn more dirt in. Our old Dyson managed these hairs alright.
The hose is hard to pull out when turned on due to the immense suction and isn't that long.
All in all it collected more dust than our old dyson but only due to the fact that it was sucking stuff up that was probably below the carpet anyway.
Good Vacuum but you need to be strong!
