Good Points

Ditto to Rick's review - bike is super stable at speed, with very precise steering - almost telepathic - great feedback. Brakes are outstanding with excellent feel. The engine has good mid-range punch for a 750, although it likes to rev and is indeed best above 6000rpm. It has the most menacing intake growl at 4000-7000rpm-the most addictive sound ever to emanate from a motorcycle! Has a nice staccato a low rpm, engine very smooth from 8000rpm to cutoff. Bike is very compact and fits me perfectly (I'm 5' 10" 150lbs.) Beautiful detailing through-out, with excellent components, very high build quality. Bike is gorgeous with great presence - attracts much attention everywhere I go...overall immensely satifying to ride and to own, highly recommended!!

Bad Points

Astronomical prices for parts - try 4-5 times Honda - very expensive to service and maintain. Brake pedal is way too small, as are the mirrors (gives great view of elbows only). Ride harsh over rough pavement.

General Comments

I purchased my red MV Augusta Brutale S motorcycle last July - have put about 3k miles since then. Initially bike has a fairly steep learning curve - all my previous bikes where made in Japan (TL1000S, VFR800, ZX-6R, R1). The Brutale is very unJap in it's the way it interacts with the rider. It demands a lot of precision from the rider, but once mastered it is hugely entertaining - never a dull moment. Most of my riding is in the Denver metro area, and the Brutale seems in it's element with this type of riding. The engine is tuned for enhanced mid-range, which helps greatly on the streets of Denver. This is such a great bike to go street blasting downtown on Saturday nights! Definitely the funnest bike I have owned so far...overall I'll rate this bike a 10.
