Sara Lewis, 30 Minute Kids' Cakes: Decorate Cakes in 30 Minutes or Less is a fantastic baking book. It gives 55 cakes that can be made within 30 minutes. It offers a variety of cakes for all those important occasions from Christmas and Easter to birthdays. Each cake recipe is accompanied by a photograph and step-by-step instructions that are so easy to use that my kids have now gone through more of the recipes than I have. So for those busy mums out there who don't have much time to spend baking, this book makes a great friend. It also shows you how to convert those regular supermarket cakes into something more exciting. It has a range of recipes from the most simple of cakes like fairy cakes to the more extravagant animal cakes.
