Good Points
It is an attractive vehicle.
Decent performance from such a high vehicle.

Bad Points
Not that economical to run.
Interior badly put together.

General Comments
Since buying my Honda HRV 1.6i 4x4 new in January 2004 I have been plagued by very severe dasboard creaking noises. They began at less than 3000 miles. It was four months after that Honda sent a specialist to the dealer from whom it was bought to rectify the problem. It had already been in twice before that to no avail. After the repair which was traced to a wiring loom behind the airbag mechanism the noises returned after three weeks and still persist today, even after a fourth attempted repair. Satisfaction with the Honda organisation is very low as their service has been brutally slow and any faith in the brand has been lost.

Very unusual for a Honda! I have owned 20+ (still have 3) over the past 30+ years, and I have NEVER had a problem that was as a result of bad design or assembly. In fact, they have been the most enjoyable, reliable cars I have ever owned. Sorry you got a lemon, but that is truly very rare for Honda. Incidentally, behind-the-dash rattles seem to be a bug-bear these days with dealers. My neighbour bought a brand new VW Polo, and her dealer never managed to fix the rattle behind her dash either. But she still bought another.
