Rocky - Box set is an addictive set of films, you can't just watch one!! I got the box set for Christmas and it was a fantastic gift. The five films follow the life of Rocky and his fighting career. In the first film Rocky is given a once in a lifetime chance - a major boxing challenge, his relationship with manager Mickey and his romance are also central to the plot. In Rocky II he retires from his life of boxing and gets married. However his retirement is only short term as the challenge or a rematch with Apollo arises and he can't resist the urge to box again. In Rocky III he defends his title but his overconfidence leads to him taking more than a few punches in the first fight, manager Mickey dies and Rocky teams up with Apollo, making a powerful team. Rocky IV sees the loss of a great character, Apollo, who dies in the ring against Ivan Drago. Rocky's home life is at the centre of the fifth film. Rocky revisits his past and starts up a career as a boxing manager passing on his valuable knowledge of the sport and industry to a new young fighter who goes by the name of Tommy Gunn who later turns and decides to challenge Rocky.

I highly recommend this box set to all action film lovers.

  Cheers for that comprehensive review of Rocky's boxing career, it was so indepth that I don't think i'll bother buying myself this Box set now, your comments have given me a fantastic synopsis of all Mr Balboa's adventures. Many thanks
