They released a demo so you won't waste any money to find out for yourself how bad it is.
Graphics gameplay A.I. Level design Voice acting Weapons Sound Interface Controls
EVERYTHING about Star Wars: Republic Commando is lame and mediocre. It's hardly anything of what it claims. It's so kiddie-arcade; it would make even Jar-Jar and Barney nauseated.
Graphics are circa 1997, and the enemies are dumber than asteroids. Your team-mates love to wait until you're ready to shoot, then stand right in front of you. Gameplay and level design just doesn't get any more boring or linear than this. Everything around you is brightly lit and flashing - telling you exactly where to go and exactly what to do. And if somehow you're still uncertain, there's this tiny, high-pitched kids voice always telling you, along with your teammates in-between the bad jokes. Speaking of jokes, that is exactly what this game is.
If you want a good First-Person Star Wars Shooter, get ANY of the Jedi Knight Series games, even back to the first one.
Star Wars: 'Republic Commando' - The Kiddie-Arcade Game of the Century. For ages 6 to 10.
