Good Points

Wonderful, authentic castle, in a beautiful corner of Cork. Friendly, great hosts who take pains to make the most of your experience! They even drew a map to avoid rush hour traffic to Blarney castle.

Bad Points

Steep winding steps were difficult to navigate while carrying bags. No locks on guest room doors & hearing the wind whipping through the leaded windows was a bit unnerving.

General Comments

Kilbrittain Castle has huge comfortable guest rooms. Ours had room for 6 people to sleep in with thick velvet curtains & enormous armoires. Our bathroom was huge, modern & located in our room, but in a turrett. The view from our windows was of beautiful, pastoral countryside. Breakfast was served in an interesting room with large fireplace & family dog asleep on the hearth as well as a colletion of medievil looking furniture & collectibles. Wonderful value, terrific place to stay. Would love to return!
