Good Points

Stylish, excellent picture especially from DVD, lifelike sound and easy to set up.


Bad Points

Difficulty getting a wall bracket to make best use of the slim profile


General Comments

Was not sure if plasma could really compete with conventional screen but the Hitachi 32PD3000E has surprised me with its sharp and vivid picture with stunning colour rendering. Sound from the set is clear, particularly with speech but cannot compare with a good surround sound system. My wife particularly likes the slim display and the separate tuner box keeps trailing cables to a minimum. Setting up was a doddle straight from the box and the set has performed brilliantly. Even the dog likes the lifelike picture!
