Lively and responsive car for what it's worth
Good handling (far better than Corsa for instance)
Confident acceleration
Good sized boot, and rear seats fold down
Simply built, few things to break or go wrong on the whole
Compact car, simple to operate and drive, with lots of space for bits and bobs, joy to own!!
4 litre tank so great for long journeys!!
No where to store an A3 sized atlas but the boot!! (opt for pockets on the back of the front seats if you can!!)
Gearstick gaitor is a little unstylish (small point)
The Nissan Micra K11 1.0l city car performs well whether in town where it is nippy, responsive, and lively, or on the motorway where it is steady and has a good cruising speed.
I have both an automatic 1995 Micra and a geared 1997 Micra. The auto is a little bit slow on the accelerator, both in response time (about 1 second delay) and acceleration. The manual is faster and far more fun to drive!!
The brakes on the manual are responsive and quite powerful, so that is definetly a plus.
Even small things like demisters and fan control are efficient and effective.
Speakers are not great but what would you expect with a cheap Japanese car (they still play music though!).
Variable economy, sometimes averaging 45mpg, other times much less, highly dependant on speed I think.
Glove box could be slightly better designed with a little more space and closed unit so things cant fall out when closed!! (only if stuffed full of things though!)
