General Comments

After searching around for several days for a new camera, the Fujifilm Finepix S5500 seemed to jump out as the one for me. UK Digital Cameras was simply the cheapest UK-based company that I could find offering one that was brand new and not used or refurbished.
They offer a wide range of digital cameras and accessories, although the cameras are strictly digital (sorry, film buffs!) and accessories limited to electronics (eg memory, batteries, scanners) and sometimes camera cases - no optics or tripods etc available as far as I can tell, but what they do have they have a fairly wide range.
Navigation of the site is easy if you know what you're looking for, although would certainly benefit from an advanced search option so you can narrow down what you're looking for rather than browse brand by brand. The design is generally good with pictures and specifications of the products on offer.
Apart from the price of the camera, the best thing about shopping from the site was the speed of the delivery: I ordered my camera 5pm monday afternoon, it was here by special delivery 11am wednesday morning. Given that this included filtering through my area's pretty dire postal service I thought this was excellent. And this delivery was FREE! They also keep you well informed about the status of your order by email.
I can't comment on the after-sale service as I have had no reason to contact them (which is the way it should be), but they offer a 28 day guarantee on their products and at least 12 months manufacturer guarantee with all their cameras.

In conclusion, not everything on the site is the cheapest you'll find, and they certainly don't stock everything a photographer will need, but if you're after a digital camera, I'd certainly check these out before buying.
