Good Points

Produces excellent espresso and very acceptable cappuccino.


Bad Points

Design fault on filter holder. After continued use the rivit at bottom of filter holder detatches and is not repairable.


General Comments

Have just returned my second Dualit 84009 to the retailer after nine months use and obtained a refund (My previous machine was replaced after ten months with the same fault). The machine is generally very good but has a design fault on the filter holder. A rivit is welded to the bottom of the filter holder and after continued use it detatches and is not repairable. I understand Dualit have solved this problem on the latest version of this machine but stocks of this machine with the newer version of the filter holder are not widely obtainable from high street retailers such as John Lewis where I bought mine from. If I could obtain a machine with the new filter holder I would be happy to buy another one.
