General Comments
Air Dolimiti is an Italian domestic carrier which also operates flights on behalf of Lufthansa, Germany's national carrier. The company is essentially a short-hop operation (frequently trans-Alpine) and uses 40/50 seat jets. These mean very quick turn-rounds at the airport, but have the obvious disadvantages of constrained space and very limited baggage space, though it is possible to drop-off/ pick-up your 'wheelie' at the aircraft's steps. I was lucky to be in business class with nobody sat next to me, which removed the space problem. Service was excellent - newspapers, high-quality food and free drinks provided efficiently and courteously even on a 50 minute flight. Had I been sitting with someone, I think the experience would have been less good, but Air Dolomiti seemed keen to try and make a good impression. Overall, ratrher good.
