Bad Points

Numerous, bad service, bad staff, bad cars.


General Comments

Bought a car from an Arnold Clark Car Dealership in June 2004, I also bought the 2 year Autocare warranty at £395.
Seven months later the car is in a garage and will cost £2000 to repair.
ARnold Clark refuse to cover the cost of repairs even though I have the warranty.

    I ALSO BOUGHT A CAR FROM ARNOLD CLARK 16 WEEKS AGO. I REPORTED A FAULT WITH THE CAR ABOUT 15 WEEKS AGO BUT WAS ADVISED THAT THEIR DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE PICKED UP NO FAULTS!!!MY CAR BROKE DOWN AT 4AM THE OTHER MORNING AND THE RECOVERY DRIVER PICKED OUT THE EXACT FAULT I DESCRIBED AT THE BEGINNING. NOW ARNOLD CLARK SAY THE FAULT IS NOT RELATED(FUNNY THAT)AND THAT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE EXTENDED WARRENTY AT ALMOST £400 THE FAULT THAT THEIR MACHINE NOW SHOWS DOES NOT COVER THIS. I WOULD DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM BEING CONNED INTO BUYING THIS WARRENTY AS YOU WILL FIND IT RARELY COVERS ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR

    Me & my boyfriend also bought a car from their Motherwell branch, same story, exhaust fell off within the first 2 weeks, air con never worked, the list is endless. A joke of a warranty, we ended up going to trading standards, got some work done at their cost. However after they were finished there were loads of other things needing fixed. Never ever again!!!
