Nice and heavy. Good sights. Good grips, rubber not plastic. Very accurate.
Two thirds of the cylinder is fake.
The Smith & Wesson Model 5868 is a good looking gun and nice to handle. Very heavy, which damps down recoil. Fully adjustable rear sights, which gives fine tuning, and great accuracy and extra power from the 8" barrel.
Based on the 357 magnum revolver, it holds 10 rounds, the side swing cylinder fitting onto the back of a fake one. It has double and single action, and I find that the double action is better than the single, with a crisp let of point which prevents jerking at the final stage which some double actions are prone to.
It takes standard .177 pellets, and after trial and error I have found that the Air Arms Diablo Field 4.51 gives the best results, all 10 shots being covered by a 20 pence piece at 36'. I've had a consistant 65 shots from 1 C02 capsule.
If you shop around you can get one for as little as £109 or pay as much as £145.
