Excellent air rifle- fine attention to detail,smooth shooter, extremely accurate and scope stop not needed as recoil is negligible: Rekord trigger is smooth and a benchmark for others-Love this gun.
Velocity could be a little higher but at least I don't have to pump the gun each time to get 700 FPS.
Older Santa Rosa model is the one I have and wood extends beyond the barrel pivot making the gun look very classy. New R-7's not as well finished I've read, but have a front post sight similar to the R-9 now - This gun is a smooth shooter and you really won't want to put it down after you select it for shooting! Hard to find a good used R-7 anywhere though: everyone loves theirs. With sling and muzzlebrake this gun looks as good as it shoots!
