Good Points

Resolution, price, weight, simplicity, close-ups, flash, O/S compatibility.


Bad Points

No rechargeable battery, no optical zoom.


General Comments

This Kodak CX4300 digital camera shoots great shots. The pictures are extraordinary. My 640x480 Largan just didn't do it for me any more. Naturally I wanted the optical zoom. But I was in for more than $200 USD with 2.1 MP and any zoom. I only spent $154 for this one, 3.2 MP. It is light-weight compared to others. I want a camera, not a brick. I'll get some memory after the Christmas price decreases. Perhaps the most striking feature is ease of use. Although I am very technical, I detest difficult peripherals. It doesn't matter if I can figure it out. What matters is that my in-laws won't drive me nuts asking me questions. We bought 2 cameras along with the rechargeable AA, Ni-MH, 1800 MAH batteries at $177 each, out-the door. I do recommend this camera.
