General Comments

Okay, I have bought a BMW Z4 2.5 sports car to replace my Z3 3.0 and all I can say is, wow!

The driving position is brilliant and flexible. Instrumentation layout is intelligently placed.
The drive and handling are a pleasure...this car makes me smile for two reasons:

It feels terrific, especially with the 'sport' setting activated, and it didn't break the bank - a comparitive Boxster would have...I've gone with 18" wheels and I feel stuck to the road...no, I feel at one with the road.

I'm an average person...I enjoy driving, enjoy a bit of speed and I love the symbiosis I feel when I turn the key and feel the engine vibration tickle my spine! I am not a technical driver...I can't speak of performance specs or how the car handles under the pressures of an extreme 'track' environment - how many of us will actually ever drive a car to the edge of its design envelope? It would seem that people who write mainstream reviews expect us to do so...I've never understood that myself.

This car is my 10th in 10 years (4 of which have been BMW)...It makes me smile when i drive it and that, for me, means it is well balanced and as far as I am concerned that is driving satisfaction.

Respect given for DavidG's review.

Love my z4, went from Coupe 330i to Z4, my husband kept the 330ci whenever I have to drive it its like an old man's car, the steering wheel is so big and heavy, when I get into my z4 the difference is unbelievable. As a suprise my husband bought me the hardtop, the Z4 looks totally different and cooool. Heads turn when you move into the sports drive and fly. I still look around wondering if there is anything I would have preferred but havent seen anything I would trade it in for. Love it Love it Love it
