Are there any...?
Okay, I have bought a BMW Z4 2.5 sports car to replace my Z3 3.0 and all I can say is, wow!
The driving position is brilliant and flexible. Instrumentation layout is intelligently placed.
The drive and handling are a pleasure...this car makes me smile for two reasons:
It feels terrific, especially with the 'sport' setting activated, and it didn't break the bank - a comparitive Boxster would have...I've gone with 18" wheels and I feel stuck to the road...no, I feel at one with the road.
I'm an average person...I enjoy driving, enjoy a bit of speed and I love the symbiosis I feel when I turn the key and feel the engine vibration tickle my spine! I am not a technical driver...I can't speak of performance specs or how the car handles under the pressures of an extreme 'track' environment - how many of us will actually ever drive a car to the edge of its design envelope? It would seem that people who write mainstream reviews expect us to do so...I've never understood that myself.
This car is my 10th in 10 years (4 of which have been BMW)...It makes me smile when i drive it and that, for me, means it is well balanced and as far as I am concerned that is driving satisfaction.
