Good car to drive although it feels underpowered and is up and down the autobox when overtaking. Comfortable and good looking car
Spends a lot of time in the garage, now on it's 3rd gearbox and second set of timing chains in a bid to get rid of the whining transmission. Still no joy
Had the Jaguar X Type 2.0 V6 executive car for 18 months and it has spent most of the last 4 months in the workshop. Dealer service poor, to get any repairs authorised you have to wait for a Jaguar technician from the factory to attend the dealer at his conveinence. After waiting a lifetime to own a Jag, I would never buy another. Done 30k miles using 3 gearboxes, 1 set of timing chains, passenger door now wont open, irritating rattle from behind the dash, need I go on. Great looking car but not worth the grief of ownership. To add insult, residual values from the supplying/servicing dealer were horrific. Paid £24.5k for the car and they only offered £13k after 17 months despite all the problems with the car.
