Beautiful beaches and the best diving I've ever experienced.
The island is far too manicured, over crowed and commercial to feel like an exclusive, remote island paradise.
The Sun Island, while not cheap, often felt it. It is extremely commercial and what they make up for in facilities, they certainly lose in intimacy and charm. You are able to get away from the cavernous dining rooms at meal times, but as the Thai and Italian aren't part of your all inclusive, the costs start to mount up, particularly if you're a diver. Not so all inclusive after all.
The diving is, however, fantastic. The Little Mermaid dive school has extremely high standards and offers an excellent choice of excursions. The surrounding reef offers opportunities to see manta, turtles, napoleon fish; the list is endless.
