General Comments

Daisy Grizzly 840 - We found a Grizzly Kit on sale for $22.95 at local Kmart that is closing. The kit included 250 pack target pellets and 350 tub of bbs, five 10 meter targets, shooting glasses and video. I bought this for my son to shoot sparrows and black birds with. This was a first gun and a great learning tool. The fact it will handle pellets sold me. I didn't want him to shoot bbs or bb guns. BBs do ricochet. He is currently limited to target pellets. As he matures pointed pellets will be allowed. This little gun has limited power which is fine; it shoots pellets at about 285 to 290 fps. Due to lack of power range is about 10 meters. He has taken several blackbirds at around 7 meters and almost 100 sparrows around 5 meters. For his Birthday we plan to upgrade to a Gamo Delta then Gamo Young Hunter. This will keep his interest up and grow his appreciation for the sport. All said the Grizzly fills the bill better than a BB gun for a first air rifle.
