T R Stevens's Review of Daisy 622x

Overall Rating

Good Points

.22 caliber power
Real gun looks

Bad Points

Cheap plastic construction
Rotary clips don't feed reliably

General Comments

I got the Daisy 622x because I wanted a real gun lookalike repeater in .22 caliber. The choices are the Daisy or the Crosman and the Crosman had marginal reviews. This Daisy looks like a Beretta and the .22 hits harder than the .177. After about 2 months, the rotary clips stopped rotating after the first 2 or 3 shots. The gas shoots out but the pellets don't. Daisy sent me a couple of packs of replacement clips but they don't seem to fix the problem. Since the gun is plastic and there is no real adjustment that I can make, I guess I'm stuck.

Send it back for repair. If they find it is a manufacture problem under the warranty they will fix it. If it is out of warranty it usually isn't very much for the repair. I have one and love it!
It is great fun to shoot. I put a red dot laser on it and it is very accurate up to the 15 yards that I shoot from.

You wrote this over a year ago, but, I'm still looking for one of these pistols, most people seem to like it. I've got a Crosman Night Stalker - I'd trade you even for it. Apparently there are lemons in every lot.

Hi can i ask what the difference is between a Daisy 622x And a Daisy powerline 622x. I probably sound stupid but oh well.

The Powerline 622X is the, or was the same. The pistol has been discontinued, saddly. I'm not being condesending, but you may be confused by the Powerline 22X. It's a nice pump up .22 air rifle.

Thanks Paladin, the only reason i thought they were two different guns as there is a review for Daisy 622x And a review for daisy POWERLINE 622x. Both are on this website and one is a good review and one is a bad one. Thanks again
