General Comments

Andrew Collinge Digital Ceramic Straightener: I took my Nicky Clarke straighteners back after almost all the ceramic coating burnt off, very disappointing after paying £60 for them. I decided I would try the Toni and Guy straighteners for £69.99 from Boots but these pulled on my hair and after going out in the wind my hair became a frizz ball. I quickly took them back and tried the Mark Hill straighteners for £89.99 reduced to £79.99 at Boots. These worked nicely but my hair was still not poker straight although my hair did not frizz out in the wind and rain and it glided through my hair nicely. In search of the ultimate GHD alternative (they use GHDs on me at my hairdressers) I decided to try the Andrew Collinge Digital Ceramic Straighteners at £33.33 reduced from £49.99 again from Boots. Well now I don't have to buy GHDs!!! They made my hair poker straight, shiny and sleek. When I arrived at work my hair was still lovely and straight and has stayed that way ever since (I've had them two days now). You even get a free straigtening gel with them. There are four heat settings depending on your hair type and it bleeps when it reaches the temperature you choose. The only downside is that the digital display where the buttons are to turn the heat up or down are right on the top where you hold it, so it is easy to hit the buttons by mistake, but I think for the results and price this product is well worth it. I never thought I would find a cheapish straigtener which would compare to what the GHDs can do but I have and I'm sticking with them and believe me I am fussy about my hair as my boyfriend will agree...so trust me, try them!
