General Comments

I have owned an Air Arms Jackal Fire Power for about 10 years and have found the gun excellent for 'plinking' in the garden. I have fitted new springs several times to ensure maximum power. Modifications that I have done are:

Polishing the internal of the piston tube
Polishing the piston
Superglue a 1/2 tap washer to the end of the Piston (This realy quietens the gun)
8x40 scope with 1" mounts
Good quality silencer

Cleaning the barrel with a brass pull-through does help with accuracy. Although removal of the barrel is not recommended by Air Arms.

Spare parts can still be ordered from Air Arms.

I'm was told that polishing the inside of the piston tube would reduce power? Have you chrono'ed the gun?
What do you think of the gas ram conversion from Theoben?

Polishing the inside made a considerable difference, and it has taken the power right up to the legal limit.

I have not tried the gas-ram, but I would like to do so.

Do you sure that Firepower is made by AirArms? As I was told AirArms has continued the Hi-Power only. But if so: Do you know wheter the the pellet-"magazine"-/tube is available as spare, too? Regards JBHR
