Good Points

Great value for the money. Sound beyond most computer speakers. Awesome bass and treble. Easy installation. Remote. Great looks.


Bad Points

Thick wire of the remote. Short wires.


General Comments

After reading many reviews and customers thoughts of the Logitech Z-5300 5.1 THX Speakers I decided to buy them. The box in which they came was big and heavy, about 20 kg. The installation was easy although the wires weren't long enough, so I had to buy extenders. They are connected to subwoofer using cinch cables which are easy to get and not too expensive. I plugged them into my Audigy 2 ZS and burned them for about 5 or 6 hours. I did not found any flow in the speakers itself except in the music I was playing. I mean I was using mostly mp3 music and it is very easy to detect flaws in the sound file.
My mp3 files sounded incredibly crisp and clear, with many details with deep and loud bass. I used THX Subwoffer test and I can say that these speakers have great sub. The lows were very precise and without distorsion. Then I listened to some other music which was using more the mids and highs. The sound is great and thanks to aluminium phase plugs the highs were clean and with much details. In games the weapons have completely different sound and the sub gives them the "WOW" effect. These speakers can play very loud (I use them mostly on 3/7 LED on remote. A few words about the remote: It is big with thick wire but when you place it somewhere close to your hands (near the keyboard or mouse) you then realize how practical and easy to use this remote really is. It is easy to increase/decrease volume, adjust bass, centre speaker and fader.
These speakers are great and a really good investment and I wouldn't change them for any other speaker system in this price category.
